Recently Burger King has came back to Slovakia opening first restaurant in Bory Mall. One of the malls on the outskirts of Bratislava where you could see tumble weed rolling if the climate would be warmer in Slovakia. But since it is a new franchise coming back to the country after several years I had to try.
So we gathered our burger-loving crew and headed there for lunch. After 20 minutes drive we arrived to the mall and easily located the restaurant in the food-court.
Someone told me to try #prepacmekac menu that is a part of new medial ad campaign to show BK's superiority over their biggest competitor in SK - McDonalds.
Menu costing 5,5 EUR cannot be found on the display anywhere. But all employees are aware of its existence. What's inside? Two regular Whoopers, fries and unlimited (soft)drinks. Nothing fancy, but effectively we are getting one burger for free, this is not something you can easily refuse...
Whooper is slightly bigger than flagship sandwich of the competitor, but not necessarily better. BigMac has more condiments but meat taste better in BK - it lacks the carton aftertaste that you can get in the competitors sandwich. At the end of the day both companies are serving just a fast food and nothing more. If you want to eat real burgers you need to look for a places like Roxor.
Oh, and they opened new Pizza Hut, need to check the quality there :)
